This home in an established East Side neighborhood is reinvigorated with statement fixtures, neutral-tone finishes and a spotlight on art for an on-the-go couple with a young child and a passion for travel and collecting.

To transform the house to the clients’ specifics, Peabody’s Senior Interior Designer Greg Holms completely renovated the kitchen and master bath and refreshed the décor of the additional ten-room, two-story home. Modern yet classic interiors complement the fine period architecture of the house originally built in 1928. The palette of whites, creams and greys creates a neutral backdrop for bold, luxurious fabrics and the couple’s notable art collection. The ceilings were stripped of all extraneous detail and installed with recessed accent and task lighting. In addition to art, the clients collect rugs, which finish the floors so beautifully. It all adds up to a compelling space with a respect for tradition and livable contemporary elements.
